    The 2011 Clear Lake Splash-In is rapidly approaching and preparations are well under way for this 32nd year of Splashing In!  The www.clearlakesplashin.com website is fully updated and the 2011 registration process is available there.  Your registration, for seaplanes, will assure you are in compliance with current County of Lake invasive species inspection requirements, assure we are prepared for your arrival and will support the Splash-In.  If you are not bringing a seaplane, pre-registration will perform the latter two functions well for us.

     This years event is being dedicated to the memory of Chuck Kimes and Tyler Orsow.  As anybody who has attended the splash in over the past several years knows, Chuck & Tylers mother Terry Campbell have been the driving forces behind making this event happen.  Chuck passed away in February of this year doing what he loved.  I would like to ask anybody with stories, pictures or memories of Chuck & Tyler that you would like to share to forward those to me at info@clearlakesplashin.com.  We will be having a time of rememberance for our two friends on Saturday night at the Skylark Shores.

          Quagga and zebra mussels are a growing problem for fresh water bodies in the US.  All vessels and their trailers must display the proper mussel inspection sticker before launching in any body of water in Lake County, as required by Ordinance No. 2936. Violators are subject to a minimum fine of $1,000.
